About Ulises ramirez, lCSW

Out of your vulnerabilities will come your strength.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with decades of experience helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys. As a bilingual and bicultural therapist, I bring a unique perspective and empathy to my work.

At Wise Mind Therapy, I provide a safe and understanding environment for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I combine my expertise in cognitive behavioral therapy with mindfulness and compassion to empower you to take control of your life and find your authentic self. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or any other mental health issue, I am here to help you heal and grow.

My experiences as a husband and father, as well as my work and volunteering with coaching high school wrestling, have provided with an appreciation for the complexities of life. As I gained a deeper understanding of the struggles that come with balancing family and work, I “practice what I preach” by using adaptive skills.

At Wise Mind Therapy, my mission is to create a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients, where they can work towards living a life that is true to themselves. If you find that life challenges have moved you away from your desired life,  I’m here to support you on your journey to healing and pursuing vitality in your life. Together, we’ll work to uncover your authentic self and find the peace and purpose that you deserve

A Trusted Teacher and Mentor in the Mental Health Community

I’ve also had the opportunity to give back to the next generation of therapists by serving as a Field Instructor to MSW students, and even lectured at UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs in their Department of Social Welfare. It’s important to me to share my knowledge and help others grow in their own careers.

In addition to my work at Harbor-UCLA, I’m proud to be one of the founding clinicians of the Spanish-speaking DBT Program, helping to provide valuable resources and support to the Latino community.
